Privacy and terms
Martin Gravestam is the data controller for gravestam.site. Questions and privacy requests can be sent through the contact form.
The server records the time, requested path, HTTP method and response status, along with the IP address and browser user agent.
This is used to secure and diagnose the site and to understand aggregate traffic and article readership. The lawful basis is legitimate interests under GDPR Article 6(1)(f). Request records expire automatically after 30 days.
When you use the contact form, the site stores your name, email address, subject, message and submission time, plus technical data such as your IP address, browser user agent and referring page when available. The form fields are needed to deliver and reply to your message; without them the form cannot be submitted.
The data is used to respond and prevent abuse, based on legitimate interests. Messages remain in the site’s private message inbox until they are manually deleted after they are no longer needed for the conversation, follow-up or a legal obligation. You may ask for earlier deletion where applicable.
Personal data is not sold or shared for advertising. It is processed by the hosting and database providers needed to operate the site. If a provider processes data outside the EEA, the transfer must be covered by an EU adequacy decision or appropriate safeguards such as the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.
The data comes from your browser and, for contact messages, directly from you. The site does not use personal data for automated decisions or profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects.
Do not misuse forms, attempt unauthorised access, scrape the site disruptively or interfere with its operation. Content reflects personal projects, experience and views; it is general information, not professional advice.

Republishing original text, photographs or other work requires permission unless a specific licence or applicable law permits it. Third-party materials remain subject to their own rights and licences; see Credits & licenses.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, Martin Gravestam is not responsible for losses caused by relying on the site or an external link. Send a request through the contact form. Identity may need to be verified before data is disclosed or changed. A response will be provided without undue delay and normally within one month. Requests are ordinarily free of charge.
